Filmmaker and music producer Abdul Rasheed Bello popularly known as JJC Skillz has expressed pride in his estranged wife, Funke Akindele as she smashed the Nigeria box office record.
Funke Akindele established a milestone for the Nigerian film industry by becoming the first Nollywood film to gross a billion naira in such a short amount of time.
Funke Akindele amassed a fortune of one billion, sixty million, seven hundred and eleven thousand, four hundred and ninety one dollars.
Funke Akindele’s films, A Tribe Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto The Saga, are now the highest grossing Nollywood films of all time, according to the Wikipedia Nollywood grossing table.
Following this, Funke Akindele made an official appreciation post on Instagram where she thanks God and Nigerians, and every countries where her movie is currently streaming.
“Thank you LORD!!!Thank you NIGERIA!!Thank you GHANA!!”
Her ex, JJC Skillz took to the comment section to applaud her victory. He expressed pride in her die smashing the box office again.
He wrote, “
Recall that it’s over a year ago that JJC Skillz announced his separation from Funke Akindele. The filmmaker disclosed that they were ending their marriage over irreconcilable differences.
Bello also revealed that he tried to settle things with his wife after their 2022 AMVCA facade, but all efforts proved abortive.
However, Funke Akindele refused to bow to pressure when her husband announced their sudden separation on social media.
Funke Akindele remained silent on the issue despite her fans’ eagerness for an official statement or her side of the story regarding their separation.
