As part of preparations to reopen the airports for domestic operations, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has advised passengers to arrive three hours before their scheduled flights.
The airports were shut on March 23 by the Federal Government as part of efforts to control the spread of coronavirus.
The National Coordinator of Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Sani Aliyu had said June 12 resumption date for domestic flights is tentative.
FAAN made the announcement on Monday via its official twitter handle @FAAN_Official.
The tweet reads: “COVID-19 Flight Resumption Protocol for Passengers: You are advised to arrive at the airport 3 hours before your flight due to the new COVID-19 safety checks.”
It had advised passengers to maintain 6 feet distance from other travelers at all times last week.
It also tweeted: “You must wear a facemask to be able to gain access to the airport term.
