Gov. Akeredolu, Prof Utomi attend their teacher’s autobiography launching

Ondo state Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Prof. Pat Utomi and His Royal Majesty, Oba Aderemi Adedapo – Alayemore of Ido Osun, on Saturday honoured the invite of their old teacher Venerable Godwin Bamidele Daramola JP at the launching of his Autobiography- ” G. B. ” A Child Of The Lord’s Vineyard.

For Venerable Godwin Bamidele Daramola, JP, a former history teacher at Loyola College, Ibadan, the rewards of teachers may longer be in heaven.

Loyola College, Ibadan (LCI) is a coeducational public high school founded by the Catholic Missionary in 1954. Since being established, the school has produced luminaries in the fields of medicine, engineering, law, politics and other professions.

According to the Governor, who was the Chairman of the occasion said that Venerable Godwin Bamidele Daramola was not just a teacher but a role model whose teaching and lifestyle impacted so much on him.

The Governor went down memory lane and reminisced how the former teacher has followed up on him not only as a teacher but also as a clergy at All Saints Church, Ibadan.

In his word, “I remembered during my inauguration, you were there. My first year anniversary, you were there in Akure. You have always been there for me. This is my pay back time! You have commanded me to be here. I will always honour your invitation because you have played your part in my life”, the Governor concluded.

The book reviewer, Professor Festus Adesanoye praised the style of writing of Venerable G. B. Daramola which he described as ‘lucid prose’ promising that no one can regret reading it.
