Man stuck in swamp rescued in Lagos
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Response Unit has rescued a man who got stuck in a swamp at the sand-filled spot inward Iyana – Oworo, Third Mainland Bridge.
The middle-aged man fell into the swamp, LASEMA said in a statement, adding that officials from the Lagos State Fire Service and the Lagos State Ambulance Services (LASAMBUS) contributed in the rescue.
“With the help of the LRU sophisticated Crane and trained Rescue Specialists, the team successfully reached the depth of the swamp and rescued the victim alive.
The victim was confiemd to be in satisfactory condition and was taken to the Gbagada General Hospital for further treatment.
Lagosians are implored to be very careful and stay safe especially during the festivities.
The emergency numbers remain 112 and 767,” LASEMA said.
