The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) on Friday commended Mikano International Limited, an assembler of power generating sets, for donating traffic stands to the outfit to ease traffic flow in the state.

TRACE Corps Commander/Chief Executive, ‘Seni Ogunyemi, told newsmen in Ota, Ogun state, that the gesture would help in checking the excesses of motorists in the area.

Ogunyemi said that one of the stands donated by the company had been placed in the toll gate area, which was prone to traffic bottlenecks, while the other would be put under the bridge at Sango-Ota.

He urged the company to donate more traffic stands to the agency, to further ease the operations of the corps in reducing traffic bottlenecks in the state.

Ogunyemi called on other corporate organisations to emulate the good gesture of Mikano by also donating additional stands to TRACE.

According to him, such support is necessary because traffic management is capital intensive.

He said that the agency was committed to ensuring safe and responsible driving in the state.
