JUST IN: PDP dissolves Ahmed Makarfi-led caretaker committee
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dissolved the Ahmed Makarfi-led national caretaker committee.
This will now pave way for the election of substantive executive for the opposition party.
The committee was put in place in 2016 following the leadership crisis that befell the party.
The convention is still ongoing at the time of filing this report.
A sizeable number of the candidates have however stepped down. This include; Chief Bode George, Jimi Agbaje, Gbenga Daniel and Rashid Ladoja. Others still in the race are; Prof. Tunde Adeniran, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, Uche Secondus, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja and Olusegun Aderemi.
