Buhari swears in seven federal commissioners

On Wednesday, President Muhammed Buhari swore in seven Federal Commissioners of the Revenue, Mobilisation, Allocation, and Fiscal Commission.

The ceremony took place at the State House in Abuja before to the Federal Executive Council meeting’s last session.

The newly appointed federal commissioners are Senator Ayogu Eze (Enugu State); Peter Opara (Imo State); Hawa Aliyu (Jigawa State); Rekiya Haruna (Kebbi State); Ismaila Agaka (Kwara State); Kolawole Abimbola (Oyo State); and Hauwa Aliyu (Jigawa State); and Ayuba Ngako, who will serve as the representative for the Federal Capital Territory.

In the meantime, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo gave President Buhari the findings of the Health Reform Committee.

The group, chaired by Osinbajo, was formed to create a plan for the nation to achieve Universal Health Coverage.

The committee’s improvement of funding for the health sector is one of its main suggestions.
