The Organisation of African Instituted Churches, Nigeria Region, has celebrated Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke after he secured another term in office at the August 15 governorship election.
In a congratulatory message dated August 16, the organisation described Adeleke’s victory as a reflection of the confidence placed in him by the people of Osun State.
The message was signed by the OAIC Regional Secretary, Snr. Ap. Joe O. Okoh, on behalf of the Regional President, HME Elder Israel Akinadewo FCA, PhD.
The group said Adeleke’s renewed mandate should be used to build on his administration’s achievements and promote peace, unity and economic development across the state.
It also assured the governor of its prayers and goodwill as he prepares for his second term, while seeking divine wisdom, strength and good health for him.
Adeleke won the August 15 poll with 511,067 votes, defeating APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.
ADC candidate Najeem Salaam came third with 17,180 votes.
The governor won 19 of Osun’s 30 Local Government Areas, while Oyebamiji secured victory in 11.
