Cross River Gov appoints five permanent secretaries 25 days to end of tenure

Prof. Ben Ayade, the governor of Cross River State, has appointed five Permanent Secretaries to the state public service with less than 25 days left in his term.

The Head of Service, Timothy Akwaji, released a statement on Thursday announcing their promotion from directors to permanent secretaries.

According to him, “His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof Ben Ayade, has approved the elevation of the underlisted directors to the rank of permanent secretary in the state public service.”

They are Ushie Esther Peter, Irek Matthew Esikpe, Atim Okokon Ekpenyong, Emmanuel Egban and Abu Ikwo Eyo.

Akwaji said their appointments take effect from April 27, 2023.
