The Nigeria Customs Service in Adamawa says it has intercepted bags of foreign rice concealed in a PMS tanker and Urea fertiliser concealed in black polythene bags, among other banned items worth over N144 million.

The seizures were made over a two-month period along the Nigeria-Cameroon border route.

Other items seized include 165 kilogram of pangolin scales and 1,000 kilogram of donkey skins wrapped in 10 sacks and PMS worth over N12 million.

Briefing the media in Yola, Comptroller of Customs, Adamawa/Taraba Area Command, Olaniyi Alajogun, said the seizure was as a result of the measures put in place to nib smuggling activities along the route in the bud.
