A storey building under construction in Asaba, the capital of Delta State, has fallen.
The Delta State government has closed off the building after it collapsed on Thursday.
According to the Delta State Commissioner for Urban Renewal Michael Anoka, who inspected the collapsed building, said that no one was killed or injured.
The building collapsed at 3 pm, making a loud noise that drew the attention of passersby.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the collapse.
This is the latest in a series of building collapses in major Nigerian cities.
Poor construction practices, the use of substandard materials, and bribery to evade government oversight are often cited as the causes of these disasters.
However, the cause of the most recent building collapse in the South-South region of Nigeria has not yet been determined.
