EXCLUSIVE: Motorists, passengers stuck as flood engulfs Abule-Egba, Oko-Oba axis in Lagos after heavy downpour [PHOTOS, VIDEOS]
Residents, motorists and passengers plying Abule-Egba, Oko-Oba axis of Lagos State were on Tuesday left stranded after the roads were taken over by heavy flood.
NewsClick Nigeria reports that vehicles were forced to a standstill as the the flood made it difficult to navigate the road. There was serious traffic congestion from Abule-Egba Bus-Stop inward Oko-Oba, Agege road.
Passengers were seen alighting from vehicles and forging ahead on foot despite the heavy current of the flood. The flood was as a result of the heavy rain that commenced on Tuesday afternoon.
NewsClick Nigeria reports heavy flooding on Oko-Oba road is becoming a disturbing reoccurrence. Earlier in the year, an Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) loaded with family members was washed away after a similar heavy downpour.
