Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has congratulated Muslims in Rivers State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
He said the festival is a reminder of key values such as sacrifice, compassion, generosity, and unity, which everyone—regardless of faith—should reflect on.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, the governor appreciated the Muslim community for its contributions to peace, social harmony, and economic growth in the state.
Fubara also called for stronger commitment to peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among all citizens, stressing that religious diversity should be embraced as a source of strength rather than division.
He encouraged residents to show kindness to the less privileged during the celebration and to embody the true spirit of Eid through giving, forgiveness, and love.
He prayed for Allah’s acceptance of their sacrifices and for continued peace, good health, and blessings for all families.
The governor further urged citizens to let the lessons of Eid guide efforts toward unity, justice, and development in Rivers State and Nigeria.
