‘Funeral arrangements will be shared in due course,’ Ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki loses mum
A former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki has announced the death of his mum, Florence Saraki.
The former Kwara State governor announced the passing of his mother on Tuesday evening in a post on X.
“With profound sadness and total submission to the will of Almighty God, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, who peacefully transitioned today, Tuesday, June 18th, 2024,” he wrote.
“Details regarding funeral arrangements will be shared in due course. We appreciate your love, prayers, and support as we mourn Mama’s passing.”
The late Florence died a few weeks before her 89th birthday.
She celebrated her 87th birthday on August 8, 2022, on Cameron street in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.
