The Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has given his endorsement for the appointment of 12 new permanent secretaries within the state civil service.
The acting Head of Civil Service, Ahmed Abdullahi, announced that the governor’s approval was granted based on several factors, including their qualifications, experience, dedication, commitment, loyalty, and performance in promotion examinations and interviews.
Abdullahi further explained that this decision aligns with the current administration’s dedication to revitalizing the civil service.
It also reflects their commitment to ensuring that diligent and industrious civil servants reach the highest positions in their careers before they retire. The appointments are seen as a step towards promoting meritocracy and rewarding hard work in the state civil service.
The new permanent secretaries include; Mohammed Ibrahim Jalo and Adamu Mohammed Kala from Akko Local Government; Dr Ibrahim Yakubu – Balanga; Sa’adatu Bome Ishaya -Billiri; Abubakar Adamu- Dukku, Abdulkadir Adamu; Abubakar Babayo Hassan, Gombe, and Ahmed Mohammed Yunusa – Gombe LGA.
Others were Mohammed Dantata Ndus – Kaltungo; Abubakar Bella M/ sidi – Kwami; Shuaibu Ibrahim -Shongom, and Mohammed Ismail Hina – Yamaltu Deba LGA.
“All the appointments are with immediate effect,” Abdullahi’s statement partly added.
