Governorship: Dapo Abiodun defeats Adebutu to win Ijebu North LG

The APC’s governorship candidate in Ogun, Prince Dapo Abiodun has won the governorship election in Ijebu North Local Government Area of the state.

In official results announced by INEC official at the local government level, Abiodun polled 18,815 votes to defeat Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 15,904 votes to come second.

Biyi Otegbeye of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), got 2,393 votes to come third.

The governor is seeking a second term in office and will govern the state for another four years if he wins the entire election.
