Hajj: Another Nigerian pilgrim dies in Makkah

The Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board has reported the passing of another pilgrim in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

According to a statement by Alhaji Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi Governor, the deceased has been identified as Abubakar Abdullahi from Gulma town in Argungu Local Government Area.

The statement mentioned that Abdullahi succumbed to a brief illness.

Abdullahi’s demise marks the third death among Kebbi pilgrims during the pilgrimage.

Governor Nasir Idris, as quoted in the statement, expressed deep shock at the loss and offered prayers for the deceased to find eternal peace.

“The governor also urged the immediate family of the deceased, friends, and Kebbi pilgrims to find solace and embrace God’s will with fortitude,” the statement added.

It further stated that Abdullahi was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs following a funeral prayer at Masjid Al-Ihram (Ka’aba) on Friday.
