The Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has responded to allegations that she ignored Fuji star Wasiu Alabi Pasuma at a recent gathering.

The incident was said to have happened in February at a birthday celebration hosted by actress Fathia Williams, where Pasuma performed as the headline act.

A video circulating online showed Akindele appearing occupied in a conversation as Pasuma approached. However, another clip from the same occasion captured both of them exchanging greetings.

Despite this, a user on X claimed that the actress intentionally snubbed the singer.

The allegation quickly spread online, drawing mixed reactions. While some users accused Akindele of repeatedly ignoring colleagues, others argued that the claim was being exaggerated to tarnish her image.

Reacting to the controversy, Akindele dismissed the claim and reiterated her respect for Pasuma.

“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. pasuma is my Egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil,” she wrote.

Her response follows another recent controversy involving fellow actress Toyin Abraham.

At a film screening for ‘The Return of Arinzo,’ produced by Iyabo Ojo, Akindele was also accused of ignoring Abraham publicly.

Following that incident, Abraham stated that such a situation would not happen again.
