Kano: 22-year-old tricycle rider who returned N15m cash to owner offered four women as ‘gifts’

The Kano Matchmaking Marriage Association, also known as Mai Dalilin Aure, has offered four women to Auwalu Salisu, the tricycle rider, who returned N15 million to its owner.

Salisu, a 22-year-old tricycle rider, had returned N15 million that was forgotten by his passenger who came from Chad to buy goods in Kano.

The tricycle rider said he did not notice that his passenger had forgotten the money until he got home.

He said he then returned the money after hearing a message about the missing money on a radio station in Kano.

Speaking on Saturday on Freedom Radio, Kano, Mukhtar Inuwa Yakasai, chairman of the matchmaking association, said the association would offer 10 ladies to the rider, out of which he can pick four.

He added that among the ladies, two are his daughters.

Yakasai noted that the integrity, honesty and trust displayed by the young man qualified him for the honour.

“The boy has shown the good character of our Noble Prophet, Muhammad (SAW). He is indeed trustworthy. That is why we have decided to honour him with these gifts,” he said.

“There are 10 women for him to select four. Two of them are my daughters.”
