Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, has received a commitment of support from the Labour Movement’s leadership.
At a meeting with the governor, the State Trade Union Congress Chairman, Comrade Adekola Adebowale, spoke on behalf of other labor leaders and praised Adeleke for engaging with the workforce. He said the action showed how highly the new administration valued civil servants.
He claimed Adeleke’s dedication to the state’s workforce was unquestionable given that he came from a family that maintained its word.
Adebowale said, “Let the Governor be assured that workers in the State will support him fully and in fact, give him the support that no other government in the history of the State has ever enjoyed.”
In response, Adeleke reiterated the administration’s dedication to the wellbeing of public employees.
In a statement released by his spokeswoman, Olawale Rasheed, and acquired in Osogbo on Wednesday, Adeleke also stated his administration’s willingness to hear about the problems faced by workers and take appropriate action.
He nevertheless begged for more time so that the government could better comprehend the problems, but he also declared that his administration was ready to look into the complaints of the workers against the previous administration.
He said, “Let me assure you that I will be open and friendly to workers. So, workers have a friend in this government, and not only will we listen to you, but (we will also) do our best to make sure they are addressed.”
