Lawyer and Osun APC member, Muftau Adediran is dead; Oyetola, Basiru mourn

The death has been announced of a legal practitioner and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Muftau Adediran.

According to sources, Adediran died on Saturday.

Immediate past Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola and Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Ajibola Basiru have mourned the sudden demise of the young and brilliant lawyer, describing it a rude shock.

Oyetola in a statement by his media aide, Ismail Omipidan said Adediran’s death would indeed create a great vacuum not only in the legal profession but also among the young minds who see him as one of their role models and source of inspiration.

He commiserated with the wife, children, family and members of the legal profession under the umbrella of the Osogbo branch of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on the great loss.

“On behalf of myself and family, I express my deepest condolences to the wife, children and family of late Muftau Adediran who answered the ultimate call to the great beyond yesterday.

“Death has once again proved its inevitability and ultimate power over mortals with the report of the death of Mr. Adediran. Though we are pained by this collosal loss, we take solace in the fact that he (deceased) was known for good in all aspects of life when he was on the planet earth.

“As I share in the present pains the family is currently undergoing, especially his spouse, children and the aged mother as well as the members of the legal profession, I urge all to take consolation in the fact that he lived a virtuous life entirely dedicated to Allah and humanity.

“I pray Almighty Allah to grant him Aljana fridaus, bestow on to the bereaved family the required grit to fill whatever the vacuum it may create and grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss”, Oyetola added.

Meanwhile, Senator Basiru in a condolence message said the suddenness of Adediran’s death made him, as many people thought, think it was an “April Fool’s joke”.

“Even at that, I first thought it was a huge, costly joke, until the reality dawned on me through calls that Muftau had breathed his last.”

“I was jostled, I was pained, I was downcast. It was too fleeting to accept, yet too real to reject.”

Senator Ajibola Basiru described the deceased as a young, vibrant and bubbly individual who was more on the side of cohesion than dissention.

“Muftau was a peace maker. I would consult him on legal matters and his counselling was always pointed, sound and fruitful. He was a close ally who believed in me and my cause.”

“We take solace in the fact that he lived and died in Islaam, died in the blessed month of Ramadhan. He didn’t live for himself, he lived for the Community.”

Senator Ajibola Basiru prayed Allaah to strengthen his family most especially his wife, children and aged mother, give them the grit to fill the vacuum and grant the deceased Aljanah Firdaus.
