The national assembly’s minority caucus is meeting behind closed doors.

The meeting was called because the senate and house minority caucuses needed to be on the same page about what happened in the senate yesterday, when lawmakers threatened to impeach the president.

Ndudi Elumelu, the minority leader of the House of Representatives, told journalists after the closed-door meeting that the House minority caucus is joining the Senate in its 6-week ultimatum to the president, and that signatures will be gathered to impeach the president if the security situation is not addressed.

He also brought up the general state of the country, including the exchange rate and the aviation crisis.
