Former US President Donald Trump shared his mugshot on X, the social media platform that was previously known as Twitter.
Donald Trump became the first former US president to be booked and have his mugshot taken on Thursday, after being charged with plotting to overturn the state’s 2020 election results in Georgia.
He was also charged with twelve felony counts.
Trump paid a bail bond of $200,000 for him to be released from the Fulton County jail as he awaits trial.
Shortly after his mugshot was released by Georgia officials, Trump posted it on X himself, along with the caption: “Election interference, never surrender”.

Trump’s post on X marks his first on the platform in more than two years.
His account was banned following the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol. Elon Musk restored Trump’s account last year after he acquired X.
Trump, who is running for president in 2024, also shared the mugshot on his campaign website, along with a call for donations.
He said he had been “arrested despite having committed no crime”.
