The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) elections on Saturday would be free, fair, credible, and inclusive, according to the Electoral Committee.
Oluseun Abimbola (SAN), Chairman of the NBA’s Electoral Committee, ECNBA, also urged attorneys to continue working with the electoral body to ensure a successful election.
Mr Abimbola addressed during the Manifesto Day and Presidential Debate for all candidates running for National Officers of the Association.
It allowed the candidates to discuss their strategies and manifestos before of the elections.
The NBA’s national office elections will take place between midnight and 11.59 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.
Three individuals are vying for the position of NBA President: Senior Advocate of Nigeria Afam Osigwe, Senior Advocate of Nigeria Chukwuka Ikwuazom, and Mr. Tobenna Erojikwe.
Whoever emerges from the polls will succeed the outgoing President, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Yakubu Maikyau.
The tenure of office is two years. A total of 28 candidates are contesting 10 positions in the NBA.
