The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has invited former President Olusegun Obasanjo to tour the rehabilitated Port Harcourt Refinery in Rivers State.
The invitation, issued in a statement on Thursday, aims to address Obasanjo’s recent doubts about the refinery’s operational capacity, expressed during an interview with Channels Television.
NNPCL highlighted its achievements and extended the invitation as a gesture of transparency, stating:
“We warmly invite President Obasanjo to witness firsthand the progress made at the refinery under NNPCL’s leadership. His insights and guidance remain invaluable to us.”
The company also expressed gratitude for Obasanjo’s contributions to Nigeria’s development, reiterating its commitment to a more prosperous future for the nation.
