Osimhen has €90m release clause for January transfer window – report

RAI Sport reports that Victor Osimhen has a €90 million release clause for a permanent move away from Napoli in the upcoming January transfer window.

The Nigerian international recently joined Galatasaray on loan after failed negotiations with Al-Ahli, Chelsea, and PSG during the summer transfer window.

Before his temporary departure, Osimhen extended his contract with Napoli until June 2027, and his release clause was reduced from €130 million to €75 million.

According to RAI Sport journalist Ciro Venerato, there is an additional clause that permits Victor Osimhen to leave Napoli for €90 million in the January transfer window, although this clause does not apply to Serie A clubs.

Recently, Juventus has been linked with a move for Osimhen, but Galatasaray vice-president İbrahim Hatipoğlu has emphasized that the 25-year-old striker will not be leaving the club in January.

Osimhen scored his first two goals for Galatasaray on Saturday during a 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa. The 2022-23 Serie A top scorer netted a total of 76 goals in 133 appearances for Napoli.
