Passengers, pilot survive aircraft crash landing at Ibadan airport

A private HS25B jet operated by Flint Aero had a narrow escape from disaster yesterday when it crash-landed on the runway at Ibadan airport.

The flight, transporting a number of senior government officials, took off from Abuja at 18:41 hours. The crash took place around 19:21 hours with ten people on board. Fortunately, there were no casualties despite substantial damage to the aircraft.

Reports indicate that the pilot had received clearance for an RNAV approach to Runway 22.

Prompt and effective measures ensured the safe evacuation of all passengers and crew members.
