The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed claims by the party’s National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, that his signature was forged.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Monday, the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, described the allegation as false. He clarified that Senator Anyanwu personally signed the letters sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which notified the commission of the date, time, and venue of the party’s elective convention scheduled for 15 and 16 November in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Ologunagba also presented records of communication between Anyanwu and other members of the party’s leadership, including his involvement with the contact and mobilisation committee, where he served as secretary.

However, Senator Anyanwu has petitioned both the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Inspector General of Police, alleging that his signature was forged.
