Pele bids family, friends, farewell in viral video
In a distressing YouTube video uploaded by Golaut official, Brazilian great Pele appears to be slowly losing the fight against cancer as he sadly bids farewell to loved ones.
The three-time world champion’s health has gotten worse as a result of the viral footage in which he was seen having trouble breathing.
The 82-year-old was admitted to the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in Sao Paulo on November 29, 2022, and recently spent Christmas Day there after having a colon tumor removed in September 2021.
The Brazil legend is receiving care in the hospital after his cancer, and as his condition worsens, family members and his daughter who has vowed to stay by his side have gathered to stay with him.
However, in the posted video captioned, ‘Pele says goodbye to family and friends from the hospital bed’, the legend was recorded faintly passing a message.
Meanwhile, British businessman and sports manager Frank Khalid said in a Twitter post, “Pele says goodbye to family and friends from the hospital bed. Football legend, Pele is slowly losing the battle against cancer, family says ‘his condition is worsening even further’,” Khalid wrote.
One of Pele’s former rivals, Romario, has sent his good wishes for the Brazilian football star in a new video that is making its way around social media.
Speaking to Ge Globo, Romario said, “King, get better. So much faith. The whole world is looking and praying for you. Improvements! I kiss your heart.”
