Dignitaries, guests, and thousands of mourners have begun to gather at the Redeemer Christian Church of God, RCCG, Lion of Judah Parish in Isiokpi for the burial of the late Dr. Herbert Wigwe.
Isiokpo, situated in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, serves as the location for the funeral service of the late billionaire Dr. Herbert Wigwe, alongside his wife, Chizoba, and son, Chizzy.
Among the early attendees are Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State and the State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, who serves as the chief security officer (CSO) for the burial ceremony. Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State and Dr. Godknows Igali, a former Nigerian Ambassador, are also among the politicians present to pay their final respects to Wigwe.
Additionally, clergy members and traditional rulers from Omoeke, Wigwe’s hometown, as well as monarchs from Isiokpo in general, have arrived.
Scores of other dignitaries, whose identities have yet to be confirmed, are also present at the venue.
Meanwhile, there is heightened security in Isiokpo and its surroundings.
