Some ad hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were on Saturday held hostage at polling unit 052 in Rockhaven Zaria Road of the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The voters claimed that there were insufficient sensitive documents for the rerun election.

The unit has 1,728 registered voters, however only 100 ballot papers were provided for the House of Representatives and 1,728 ballot papers for the Senatorial election.

The voters decided to keep the INEC workers hostage due to a lack of result sheets and incident forms for complainants.

It was also discovered that all polling units in Rockhaven, Zaria had the same challenge of ballot papers shortage for the House of Representatives election.
