The Ogun State Police Command has verified that six people were abducted by gunmen in the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area.

According to Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, the victims — six marketers from a Lagos-based real estate company — were taken while on a visit to Oyebola village.

Ogunlowo explained that security operatives have launched a coordinated search to rescue the abductees and apprehend those responsible.

He noted that one of the team members reported the incident, stating that the group had travelled from Lagos to inspect the land for marketing purposes before they were forcefully taken away.

The Commissioner confirmed that the attack occurred on Friday and assured that efforts were ongoing to ensure the victims return safely.
