Police kill two bandits, recover arms in Kaduna

Operatives from the mobile police team, recently deployed to Kuriga in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, have killed two bandits in the area.

In a statement, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, reported that on Friday, police operatives responded to distress calls about an attack on farmers at the outskirts of Kuriga village.

Upon arrival, the security forces engaged in a fierce firefight with the bandits, resulting in the neutralization of two criminals.

During the gunfight, the police recovered two AK-47 rifles and 17 rounds of ammunition from the bandits.

Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, received the report and commended the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Ali Dabigi, along with his officers, for their swift response and successful intervention. The governor urged the security personnel and other forces in the area to continue their efforts to pursue and dislodge the criminal elements completely.
