Joint security operatives in Imo State have reported the recovery of three unexploded improvised explosive devices, vehicles, dangerous materials, and other incriminating items from a criminal camp in Ihaila, Anambra State.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on Saturday in Awka, it was revealed that the raid on the criminal hideout followed extensive security intelligence.
In the areas of Lilu, Mbosi, and Isseke in Ihaila, three unexploded improvised explosives were recovered, along with two abandoned vehicles and explosive materials such as copper wires, fuel, and other hazardous items.
Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, urged the operatives to maintain the momentum of the operation and assured residents of the state’s continued commitment to dominating the security landscape and denying criminal elements the freedom to operate.
