The Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, has refuted reports circulating online alleging that the President has converted from Islam, describing the claim as untrue.

Olusegun made the clarification in a post shared on X on Thursday, urging the public not to believe the viral video making the rounds on social media.

“Please disregard the video circulating claiming PBAT has converted. It is a lie…”

He explained that Tinubu has always practised Islam while openly supporting the Christian faith of his wife, who serves as a pastor.

According to Olusegun, the President’s family exemplifies interfaith harmony and should not be interpreted as evidence of religious conversion or disagreement.

“President Tinubu has always been a Muslim, while proudly supporting his wife, who is a Pastor. This unique interfaith harmony in his own home is what he brings to national leadership, which is unity and not conversion,” he added.

The statement followed widespread speculation triggered by a video circulating on social media that questioned the President’s religious identity.
