Russia-Ukraine crisis: Russia wants to ‘erase’ us – President Zelensky
As the Russia-Ukraine conflict escalates, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia on Wednesday of wishing to “erase” Ukrainians and their history, according to reports.
In a video address, Zelensky stated that Russia’s missile strike on a Holocaust massacre site demonstrated that many Russians were unaware of the history of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.
“For many people in Russia, our Kyiv is completely foreign.
“They know nothing about our capital; about our history. But they have an order to erase our history, erase our country, erase us all,” he said.
