Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank has described Arsenal pair David Raya and Christian Norgaard as “traitors” in the build-up to Sunday’s North London derby at the Emirates.

Frank orchestrated a surprise victory for newly promoted Brentford in the opening fixture of the 2020/2021 Premier League season, where they defeated Arsenal 2–0.

Both Raya and Norgaard, now with Arsenal, featured for Brentford in that match.

The duo are set to come up against their former manager in Sunday’s derby showdown.

When asked about facing his ex-players, Frank joked: “Those two are now traitors. They went to the wrong club!”

Discussing how he expects the match to play out, he continued: “Mikel and I both want to control the game. This derby can’t be controlled. It will be chaos itself. It’s the best show for fans, but we have to create order within that chaos.”
