The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to play Colombia and Venezuela in a pair of international friendly matches this November.
In a statement released on Monday, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed that both fixtures will be held in the United States.
The Eagles will first go up against Venezuela on November 14 at the Shell Stadium in Houston, Texas, with kick-off scheduled for 2 am Nigerian time.
Four days later, on November 18, the team will take on Colombia at Citi Field Stadium in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York, at 1:00 am Nigerian time.
Colombia have already booked their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the US, while Venezuela narrowly missed out, finishing two points short of qualification.
Nigeria, meanwhile, face an uphill battle in their bid to secure one of Africa’s nine automatic spots for the tournament.
The Eagles currently sit third in Group C of the qualifiers, six points behind leaders South Africa with just two games remaining — leaving them at risk of missing back-to-back World Cups.
However, FIFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against South Africa for fielding an ineligible player in one of their qualifying fixtures. Should sanctions be applied, Bafana Bafana could be docked three points, potentially reshaping the qualification race.
