Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has officially received his All Progressives Congress (APC) membership card after completing his registration at the Hospital Ward in Wukari Local Government Area.

The Ward chairman, Umaru Tanko, presented the membership card to the governor following his formal enrolment into the party.

Speaking after the registration, Governor Kefas assured residents of his commitment to transforming Taraba State through an all-inclusive administration and the delivery of greater dividends of democracy.

He disclosed that a date for his formal ceremonial reception into the APC would be announced later.

The governor had earlier scheduled his defection to the APC for November 19, 2025, but postponed the move following the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State.

Governor Kefas expressed gratitude to APC executives and members across the state for the warm reception, describing it as a reflection of unity and cooperation within the party.

The development has sparked reactions within Taraba’s political landscape, with stakeholders viewing it as part of broader political realignments ahead of future political activities in the state.
