President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday officially commissioned the new Corporate Headquarters of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) in Abuja.

The ceremony marked the formal transition from the Federal Inland Revenue Service to the newly restructured Nigeria Revenue Service.

During the event, Tinubu, speaking in a video shared by his Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, commended the agency’s performance and declared the building open.

In another clip, the President was seen cutting the ribbon alongside top government officials, including the Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

He also proceeded to read the commemorative plaque, stating that “The corporate headquarters of the Nigeria Revenue Service was commissioned on the 14th day of April 2026 by His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This edifice stands as a lasting symbol of integrity.”

According to Olusegun, the building consists of sixteen floors, three towers, and has the capacity to accommodate about 3,000 staff members.

The project is part of the Tinubu administration’s broader reform agenda aimed at restructuring Nigeria’s tax system to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
