TRENDING: Job seekers allegedly robbed after fake interview in Lagos hotel [VIDEO]

Social media was flooded with reactions over a video on X showing how job seekers were misled into attending what seemed to be a legitimate interview, only to be deceived by organisers who enticed them away with promises of free food while their belongings were stolen from the room they had left behind.

In a widely circulated video, one of the affected women recounted the ordeal, saying they lost their phones, money, and other valuables during the scam at a Lagos hotel.

With youth unemployment still high in Nigeria, the Lagos Police have advised victims to report such incidents at the nearest police station, while social media users have also warned about similar schemes, including fake event job offers in nearby areas.
