Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, joined Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, at Times Square in New York on Tuesday as a digital Nasdaq billboard displayed promotional content for the ongoing Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals.
A video posted by Davido on his Instagram story showed the singer alongside the billionaire beneath a large Nasdaq digital display carrying the message, “Made in Nigeria. Built for the World,” while a small crowd captured the moment on camera.
The billboard appearance is part of the promotional campaign for the refinery’s public offer, which opened on September 14, 2026, and is scheduled to close on October 13, 2026.
The offer comprises 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at N525 each, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares. It is targeted at Nigerian and other African investors and could raise approximately N2.15tn if fully subscribed.
Dangote has previously described the offer as an “IPO for the people”, saying the low minimum subscription was intended to allow retail investors to participate alongside institutional investors.
