Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), on Wednesday led a group of protesters to a Nigerian Air Force facility in Abuja, demanding urgent action to address the country’s worsening security challenges.
The demonstrators gathered to express concern over the persistent attacks by bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal elements across various parts of Nigeria. During the protest, participants called on security agencies to intensify efforts to combat insecurity and protect vulnerable communities.
Videos from the scene showed VDM and the protesters marching to the Air Force base while raising concerns about the increasing cases of kidnappings, killings, and violent attacks affecting citizens nationwide.
The protesters urged the military and other security agencies to take more decisive action against criminal groups terrorising communities, stressing that many Nigerians continue to live in fear due to the growing security threats.
