Troops neutralise three Boko Haram terrorists, rescue nine from captivity in Borno

Troops from the 21 Armored Brigade, under ‘Operation HADIN KAI’ in the North East Theatre, successfully eliminated three Boko Haram terrorists during a combat patrol in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to reports, the terrorists were neutralized in Churchur village during an engagement involving troops from the 202 Battalion, working in conjunction with Hybrid forces.

Additionally, the troops recovered two dane guns. Intelligence sources also confirmed that, in a separate operation, the troops, along with the Civilian Joint Task Force and HYBRID forces, conducted clearance operations at Angwan Jingina and Bula Marwa on March 30, 2024.

“The troops successfully rescued nine persons comprising three adult females and six children. The troops equally destroyed the hamlets in the camps of Boko Haram while the terrorists fled,” the source added.
