#ENDSARS: Lagos Governor, Sanwo-Olu confers with President Buhari in Abuja

Lagos Governor, Mr. Babatunde Sanwolu today met President Muhammed Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja to present the demands of the Lagos #EndSARS protesters.

Earlier in the morning Governor Sanwolu joined the protesters who stormed his office in a protest walk where he carried placard of #EndPoliceBrutality.

The President while receiving the Lagos Governor restated his commitment to embark on a holistic reform of the entire Police Force.

Earlier in the day in Abuja the President approved a panel made up of Civil Society Groups, the Police and National Human Rights Commission, among other groups, to look at all the cases of abuse by the police.

Sanwolu in a social media post on his verified twitter handle, expressed optimism that “the benefits of this genuine protest, will be fully realized and I will continue to work to defend the rights of all Lagosians any and everyday.”
