FC Barcelona are the 2025/26 La Liga champions, securing the 29th league title in the club’s history.

After defeating Real Madrid at home in Round 35 of La Liga, Barca officially clinched the 2025/26 La Liga crown — the 29th in their history.

Following a long and demanding campaign, several remarkable statistics about the newly crowned champions stand out:

This is Barca’s 13th La Liga title in the 21st century, the second-most among European competitions, behind only FC Bayern Munich with 19.

From a 5-point deficit to champions: after suffering a 1-2 defeat in the first El Clasico of the season and falling five points behind Real Madrid, the Blaugrana responded with nine consecutive victories to complete the turnaround — the first comeback of its kind in 30 years of La Liga history.

It is the first time Barca have secured a league title through El Clasico. Historically, Real Madrid previously clinched La Liga via El Clasico in the 1931/32 season following a 2-2 draw.

Up to Round 35, Barca remain unbeaten at home in La Liga this season. With one home fixture remaining, they still have the chance to finish the campaign invincible at home.

João Cancelo is the only player in history to have won four of Europe’s five major league titles: Premier League (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23), Bundesliga (2022/23 on loan at Bayern), Serie A (2018/19 with Juventus), and La Liga (2025/26 on loan at Barca).

This is Marcus Rashford’s first league title. Since breaking into the first team at Manchester United, Rashford has won the FA Cup, Europa League, and EFL Cup. Before this season, his best league finish was second place in the 2017/18 Premier League under José Mourinho.
