CAF Awards 2025: Key things to know

The winners of the 2025 CAF Awards will be announced on Wednesday night in Rabat, Morocco.

Victor Osimhen, the holder of the 2023 “CAF Men’s Player of the Year Award,” returns as a finalist, competing against Mohamed Salah of Egypt and Liverpool, and Achraf Hakimi of Morocco and PSG.

Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade is shortlisted for the “Women’s Player of the Year Award,” while goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie is nominated once again and could secure her third straight title.

The CAF Awards will honour outstanding African football achievements from January 6 to October 15, 2025.

The ceremony celebrates both individual and team excellence, showcasing talent, performance, and dedication across the continent.

Categories include top male and female players, coaches, clubs, national teams, and emerging young stars.

When and where?

The CAF Awards will take place on Wednesday, 19 November 2025 at 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT) at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat, Morocco.

Presenters and Artists

The event will be hosted by Beninese star Angélique Kidjo and Moroccan comedian Oualass.

Musical performances will include Moroccan singer Douaa Lahyaoui, Congolese legend Awilo Longomba, and Ghanaian artist Fuse ODG.
