Street artiste Habeeb ‘Portable’ Badmus suffered his first defeat in celebrity boxing on Friday night after social media comedian Carter Efe outpointed him over three rounds at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event held at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
All three judges scored the bout 27-30 in favour of Efe, ending Portable’s run as a dominant figure in celebrity boxing.
Portable, who had previously defeated Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington to claim two titles, entered the ring with confidence, promising to secure a third belt.
“I will use you to collect my third belt. Charles Okocha was bigger than you, Speed Darlington was bigger than you, and I beat them. I will beat you now,” he had said before the fight.
Efe, however, remained confident, responding, “One punch and you fall.”
In the opening round, Portable started aggressively, throwing unorthodox punches, but Efe stayed composed, countering with clean uppercuts and body shots.
The pattern continued in the second round, with Portable relying on wide swings and clinches while Efe landed more accurate combinations.
By the third round, Efe maintained control of the fight, connecting consistently until the final bell.
The result confirmed Carter Efe as the new celebrity boxing winner.
