At the 2025/26 UNFP Awards ceremony in Paris on Monday, Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain dominated the event, with forward Ousmane Dembele being named the league’s Player of the Year.

The French winger secured the prestigious honour for the second time in his career after an outstanding season with PSG, taking over from former teammate Kylian Mbappe, who claimed the award five straight times before moving to Real Madrid.

Speaking after receiving the award, Dembele praised his teammates for their contribution to his success.

“This is an individual trophy, but all the individual trophies I’ve won are thanks to this team,” he said.

PSG rising star Desire Doue also earned recognition for his displays this season after winning the Best Young Player award.

In the coaching category, Pierre Sage was awarded Coach of the Year for leading Lens into becoming one of PSG’s strongest competitors during the season.

Lens also produced the league’s top goalkeeper, with Robin Risser claiming the award after a series of impressive performances in goal.
