Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold inks lucrative deal with Adidas

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has secured a highly profitable multi-year agreement with Adidas, elevating him to one of the top earners for a football boot deal in Europe.

This marks the conclusion of the English international’s longstanding partnership with the American sportswear brand Under Armour, which began in 2017.

Alexander-Arnold has now become one of the prominent figures endorsing the upcoming generation of Adidas Predator boots, joining the ranks of Jude Bellingham from Real Madrid and Pedri from Barcelona.

The 25-year-old opted for this change after engaging in positive discussions with the German company regarding their plans for him. Adidas considers this move a significant triumph, given the player’s global influence and substantial commercial appeal.

In Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Manchester City at the Etihad, Alexander-Arnold, wearing a pair of yet-to-be-released Adidas Predator boots, secured a crucial equalizer with a well-struck goal 10 minutes from the end.

As the dynamic right-back approaches 300 appearances for his childhood club, he has enthusiastically embraced additional responsibilities, including being appointed vice-captain by Jurgen Klopp this season.

Alexander-Arnold has led Liverpool’s revival by adopting a hybrid role, seamlessly transitioning into the midfield when the team is in possession.

Additionally, he has successfully reclaimed his spot in the England team under Gareth Southgate, playing in the midfield during both of the recent international matches against Malta and North Macedonia.
